Immediate treatment for cardiac arrest is critical. Roughly 20 percent of a community is on school grounds on any given day. Schools need to be prepared to respond to cardiac arrest immediately to protect our children and others in the community.

What is Project ADAM?

Project ADAM was inspired by the death of Adam Lemel, a 17-year-old high school student in Whitefish Bay, WI, who suffered a fatal sudden cardiac arrest in 1999 while playing basketball at school.

Immediate care and the right preparation could have saved Adam’s life.

In memory of Adam’s life, his parents, Patty and Joe, teamed up with Children’s Wisconsin to create Project ADAM. Their hope is to make sure other schools are prepared to save the lives of young people in the event of cardiac arrest.

LifeGuard MD, Inc has certified instructors that will come to your location to train your team. We offer First Aid, CPR and AED classes. We can assist you in planning and running emergency drills.

AED Maintenance

LifeGuard MD will assist you with all aspects of maintaining your AED to ensure it is always rescue ready. We have developed a tracking program that alerts you via email when it is time to change your battery and/or pads to keep your AED ready for use. The email contains a link to the parts you will need on our website as well as video tutorials for the installation of the parts. This is a free service to our customers. You only pay for the parts. Every replacement part that comes out of our stock is assigned to your AED with a packing slip that includes to serial number of the AED it should be installed in. Any time you have a question we are just a phone call away. You will get guidance from one of our dedicated AED experts that will be able to answer any questions or concerns you may have. You will not get a call center, you will talk to a real person. We will be beside you the entire way. This is not just a box on the wall to us but a lifesaving program, we treat it as if our lives depend on it.

AED Manufacturer Support

Lifeguard MD has partnered with MD Solutions International to provide medical authorization and AED program support services. AEDs are classified as medical devices that are regulated by the FDA and a physician’s prescription is required in order to purchase most AEDs.
